New heavy duty galvanized stationary dock brackets can be expanded to make 2½',3',3½' and 4' wide dock. The example used 2-SD-DB dock brackets, 2-SD-SB stringer brackets and 4-SD-MD mud pads. You would supply 2"x6" or 2"x8" side stringer lumber, decking and 1½" pipe bought locally. Dock brackets come with hardware to bolt halves together and set screws.
